Horsham Fire Company responded to a total of 78 incidents during the week of March 14, 2026, including 18 fire calls and 60 emergency medical service (EMS) calls. One EMS call was canceled prior to arrival. Year-to-date, the department has handled 182 fire incidents and 871 EMS responses, demonstrating the continued demand for emergency services within the community.

In addition to emergency response, personnel remained actively engaged in training and community support activities throughout the week. Crews provided EMS standby coverage for the Hatboro-Horsham High School indoor percussion event, ensuring the safety of participants and spectators.

Members also completed important professional development and certification efforts, including the annual Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) review and cardiac monitor service and certification. Assistant Chief Cole successfully completed a leadership certification program through DVIT in partnership with Penn State University, further strengthening the department’s leadership capabilities.

Training remained a key focus, with crews participating in landing zone operations for aeromedical responses and daily instruction on Pennsylvania EMS Protocol 4011, which addresses pediatric allergic reactions. These ongoing efforts ensure personnel are well-prepared to handle a wide range of emergency situations.

Horsham Fire Company also provided mutual aid assistance 27 times during the week, supporting neighboring communities including Upper Moreland Township, Abington Township, Upper Dublin Township, Ambler Borough, Hatboro Borough, and Montgomery Township. This regional cooperation highlights the importance of strong partnerships in delivering effective emergency services.

The department continues to emphasize readiness through consistent training, education, and collaboration with surrounding agencies.
