| At 17:22 hours MCECC dispatched the 1st alarm assignment to the unit block of Barrel Stave Circle in the Saw Mill Valley section of Horsham Township. Initial reports indicated a fire in the kitchen. Engine 15 ( LT Ardiff), Quint 15 (McCarthy), and Deputy 15 (Keyser) made an immediate response. Engine and Quint 15 arrived simultaneously to find a 2.5 story end of the row townhouse with light smoke from the front. Deputy 15 arrived and established command. Crews made entry, and found a smoldering fire under the sink, that had been contained by the occupant, with a moderate smoke condition. The remaining fire was extinguished, and the structure was ventilated. Command held the assignment to the units on the scene. Crews assisted FM39 with the investigation, and the assignment was made available. |
