| For those that don't know about it, R.E.D. Friday stands for "Remember Everyone Deployed." It is a grassroots movement where people wear red clothing on Fridays to support and honor military service members serving overseas. The tradition began around 2004 through viral email chains and military family networks during the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, later spreading widely across the United States.
The proceeds of this were donated to our local VFW who will send care packages to remember those who are deployed over the holidays. |
