Heat Alert: Stay safe this Summer!

With rising temps, it is important to protect yourself and others. Here’s what to watch for and how to stay safe:

Know the signs!
Heat Exhaustion: heavy sweating, dizziness, nausea, headache
Move to shadow, sip water and rest.

Heat Stroke (emergency): no sweating, red/hot skin, confusion, unconsciousness, Call 911, cool the person immediately.

Stay Safe Tips:
Drink water regularly
Apply sunscreen
Wear loose, light clothing
Take breaks in the shade
Avoid intense activity during peak heat hours (11am-3pm)
Check on vulnerable neighbors, kids & pets
