Career Staff
The Fire Company's career staff provide around the clock coverage to Horsham Township from both fire stations. The career staff are trained to national standards in firefighting, hazardous materials, technical rescue, and Emergency Medical Services, allowing for an immediate response to any emergency incident.
Full Time Staff
The full time staff operate from both fire stations, on both the fire and EMS apparatus. The career staff are led by the career Assistant Chief, who coordinates every aspect of professional fire and EMS delivery to Horsham Township. The full time career staff are divided into 4 platoons, each led by a Lieutenant. Each platoon works for 24 hours, followed by 72 hours off. This 4 platoon system is often regarded as the "gold standard" in terms of fire department scheduling, as it allows for appropriate rest following a shift, allowing our employees to perform at their highest level every shift.
